Material information

• Particleboard (Chipboard): Composite wood material made from small wood chips, typically pine or fir, bonded together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in furniture manufacturing, interior surfaces, and construction applications. It is made from recycled materials and resists warping, abrasion, and other physical stresses.

• MDF (Medium-density fiberboard): A wood-derived product made using resins (glues) to bind wood fibers, which are then compressed using special heated presses. It is denser than particleboard and offers superior durability. In addition, it does not absorb moisture at all.

Material care

• Particleboard: To clean particleboard, you can use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and a mild detergent. Avoid using excessive water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.

• MDF: To clean MDF, use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with warm, soapy water. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, dry the surface thoroughly with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture; it is therefore important to protect it from moisture. Wipe up any spilled liquid immediately. Do not use harsh cleaners or chemicals as they could damage the MDF.
